Watercolor & Markers - A Sunday Workshop with Isabelle

Watercolor Workshop : Watercolor & Markers

Watercolor painting suffers a reputation of being a difficult technique because of the lack of control over it however while used wisely, it can quickly become your best creation buddy.

Let Isabelle introduces you how to quickly control watercolor to give life to your doodles, color your wandering ideas, provide colorful sketches for your collaborators in a few minutes.
You do not need to know how to draw nor paint to start exploring watercolor possibilities, you will be amazed how color can enhance a simple doodle.
If you are an accomplished artist, you will find in the technique the opportunity to produce quick drafts of bigger pieces, play with color transparencies and also get your artistic skills outside the studio.
During this 2.30h-workshop, you will review material, styles and very basic techniques together. You will then prepare the design following just a few tips (you are more than welcome to bring personal work you would like to color) and we will spend the last hour coloring it under Isabelle's guidance. She will go around sharing personalized tips with you according to your practice!

For RM70 per person in an intimate setting, you will go home with your watercolor first kit, marker pen for doodling, watercolor brush and a

piece of art on 200+g paper.
Snacks and drinks for the afternoon are available for purchase for those who likes munching away in the afternoon ;)

Spaces are limited, so book yourself a spot!

Born and raised in Paris, Isabelle has long been hesitating between Arts and Sciences.

She picked Sciences, but spent all her free time wandering around Pa

ris greatest museums and exhibitions. Seeking to unravel mysteries of aesthetic, she studied Neurosciences at the Ecole Normale Supérieure with an interest on how the brain perceives and creates. She also traveled as much as possible through all Europe, USA and China.

After completing her PhD, she took the road, for long this time, travelled all South-East Asia as a solo backpacker. During that journey, she developed her own style of watercolour sketching to keep her memories. Her travel diaries Sticky Mind & Wandering Thoughts led her to decorate a guesthouse, settle on the beautiful island of Koh Lanta, Thailand and meet great creative people.

She now splits her time between guiding people for underwater journeys and making art on land with techniques as various as watercolour, oil painting and coffee-modelling.

For the next few weeks, you can meet her at The Hatchery Place. Come & join for a cup of coffee ! Great things always happen over a cup of coffee.
